Shrubs

“Shrub” is a broad term incorporating big evergreen rhodies and camellias to small, deciduous (but flowering all summer) hydrangeas. They can be cooperative in pots, in shade, in a big brocaded border, or as a tiny bonsai. Tree peonies have huge blossoms and amazing seed pods - they can live up to 100 years. Taxus (yew) comes in different shapes and colors --- clip the topiary of your dreams. Blueberries make all-season shrubs and are child-friendly along with their huckleberry cousins. Roses are heavenly when mature and blooming. And these are just samples so go big, go tiny, they all contribute interest and each is lovely in its own site.
