Shrubs

“Shrub” is a broad term incorporating big evergreen rhodies and camellias to small, deciduous (but flowering all summer) hydrangeas. They can be cooperative in pots, in shade, in a big brocaded border, or as a tiny bonsai. Tree peonies have huge blossoms and amazing seed pods - they can live up to 100 years. Taxus (yew) comes in different shapes and colors --- clip the topiary of your dreams. Blueberries make all-season shrubs and are child-friendly along with their huckleberry cousins. And these are just samples so go big, go tiny, they all contribute interest and each is lovely in its own site.
